Abstract
This study aims to examine the relationship between social interaction anxiety and psychological well-being among university students. The research involved 252 university students in Indonesia. The research hypothesis is that there is a negative correlation between social interaction anxiety and psychological well-being. This research is quantitative research with a correlational research design. The data collection instruments are the Social Interaction Anxiety Scale (SIAS) from Mattick and Clarke and the Psychological Well-Being Scale from Carol Ryff. Research data was analyzed using correlation techniques Spearman’s Rho because the data was not normally distributed. The results show that hypotesis is accepted, indicating a significant negative correlation between social interaction anxiety and psychological well-being among university students (r = –.695, p < .001). This means that the lower the social interaction anxiety, the higher the psychological well-being among university students.
