Sebuah Model Konseptual tentang Etiologi Perilaku Kekerasan Seksual

Abstract
Sexual offending represents a serious violation of bodily integrity and human dignity that remains a critical issue across many countries, including Indonesia. Although it can occur to anyone, women continue to be the most vulnerable group. In Indonesia, research on sexual offending has predominantly focused on victims, while studies exploring the psychological dynamics of offenders remain limited. This study aims to address this gap by reviewing the psychological dynamics of sexual offenders across various national contexts and reflecting them within the Indonesian setting. A narrative literature review approach was employed, as existing literature on sexual offenders remains fragmented and lacks an integrated understanding of the underlying psychological factors. Through a systematic search of articles from online journal portals such as ScienceDirect and Sage Journals, this study synthesized findings from 19 selected studies. The analysis identified three major domains that conceptually illustrate the etiological structure of sexual offending behavior: (1) Risk factors, (2) Psychological factors, and (3) Motivation. Rather than establishing causal certainty, these components are presented as interrelated conceptual pathways that shape the emergence of offending behavior. The findings are expected to provide a theoretical foundation for developing offender-focused interventions and strengthening sexual offending prevention efforts in Indonesia
