Abstract
This study is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) aimed at analyzing the effectiveness of the experiential learning approach in enhancing students’ personal–social aspects across various levels of education. The review was conducted following the PRISMA 2020 protocol, encompassing the processes of identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion of relevant scientific articles. From a total of 38 articles identified, ten studies met the criteria for in-depth analysis. The synthesis results indicate that experiential learning is proven effective in improving students’ self-efficacy, empathy, emotion regulation, interpersonal communication, learning motivation, and positive social attitudes. This approach fosters reflective, participatory, and meaningful learning through direct experience, thereby strengthening the balance between personal and social aspects. The findings also reinforce the relevance of Kolb’s experiential learning theory (1984, 2015) and Bandura’s self-efficacy theory (1997) in the context of social–emotional development. Nevertheless, most studies still have methodological limitations, such as the absence of control groups and small sample sizes. Therefore, further research with stronger experimental designs and broader contexts, including digital and non-formal learning environments, is needed to strengthen the empirical evidence of the effectiveness of experiential learning in contemporary education.
