Laksmi A. Savitri is an independent researcher with an area of interests in agrarian & peasant politics, indigenous people, food issues, socio-ecology and culture. She is a fellow at the Centre for Transdisciplinarity and Sustainability Science (CTSS) IPB University, board member of FIAN Indonesia (an international network of NGOs work for the right to food and nutrition) and Yayasan Pusaka Bentala Rakyat (a national NGO works for the rights of indigenous people and people working in rural areas in West Papua). She is also an Indonesian editor for the Initiatives for Critical Agrarian Studies (ICAS) book series at Insist Press.
