Policy on Generative AI

For Authors

Acceptable use of AI will be considered on a case-by-case basis, in light of latest COPE discussions. Authors must disclose in the mandatory author statements section the AI tool used (including model name and version number) and the specific ways in which it was used in research and writing. Please note that AI tools do not meet the criteria for authorship.

For Editors and Reviewers

Editors and reviewers must not upload any manuscript under review at the journal, in whole or in part, to AI tools. LLM-powered AI tools should never be used to assess a manuscript.
