Review Process

1. Initial screening
Manuscripts submitted to Suksma: Jurnal Psikologi Universitas Sanata Dharma will be selected by editors in accordance with: 1) the focus and scope of Suksma: Jurnal Psikologi Universitas Sanata Dharma and 2) this journal’s editorial template. Manuscripts that passed the selection will be checked for plagiarism with a maximum similarity rate of 25%.

2. Peer-review
Suksma: Jurnal Psikologi Universitas Sanata Dharma implements a double-blind review procedure in which the identities of the reviewers and author(s) will not be disclosed to the editors. Manuscripts that passed the initial screening will enter the peer-review stage. Editors will submit and assign manuscripts to the reviewers who have relevant expertise. The duration of the review stage will take approximately 2 to 4 weeks.

3. First stage verdict
The reviewers will provide comments and suggestions on the manuscript, either in a separate form or within the manuscript. Based on reviewers’ comments and suggestions, editors will inform the decision to the author(s) that the submitted manuscript is accepted, requires further revisions, or is rejected.

4. Revision and resubmit stage
Manuscripts that received recommendation from the reviewer for revision, will be returned to the author(s). The author(s) will be given an opportunity to revise the manuscript for a maximum period of 1 month. The author(s) should carefully read the reviewer's comments and make revisions based on those comments. The author(s) should respond to each comment by showing the revised section, for example by using highlight change or Microsoft Word Track Changes. If some revisions cannot be made, the author(s) need to adequately provide explanation. After the revision is complete, the authors will be required to resubmit the revised article to the journal.

5. Final verdict
The revised version of the article will be reviewed by the editor only. When the article is accepted, the authors receive a letter of acceptance. Author(s) will be required to fill out several documents as a publication requirement, such as a statement of originality and a copyright transfer agreement form. All accepted manuscripts will go through the final editing and layout process.

6. Withdrawal of Manuscripts
Author(s) is not allowed to withdraw submitted manuscripts.
